Larysa Soroka

Larysa Soroka (May 19, 1973, Ukraine) is a Professor, Doctor of Law, and Head of postgraduate and doctoral studies at the Research Institute of Public Law (Kyiv, Ukraine). She is also the Deputy Editor-in-chief of the Advanced Space Law journal and President of the Analysis Center of Air and Space Law (Kyiv, Ukraine).

Main research interests

Formation and development of space doctrines, legal and criminal liability for space crimes, legal regulation of the use of space technologies and artificial intelligence in law enforcement, human rights, global space administration of the space sphere.

Professional experience

  • Since 2018 – head of postgraduate and doctoral studies at the Research Institute of Public Law (Kyiv, Ukraine);
  • Since 2021 – founder and president of the Analysis Center of Air and Space Law;
  • From 2001 to 2018 – engaged in research and teaching activities, holding various positions from senior lecturer to associate professor of the department and director of the Institute;
  • From 1996 to 2001, served in the National Police (Kirovohrad, Ukraine).
